Christmas With A Deputy Procedures and Rules

Eligibility: Only children who are residents of Guernsey County are eligible to participate.
City Residents: Residents of Guernsey County who live within the city limits of Cambridge are not eligible and should contact the Cambridge Police FOP Lodge #10 or the Secret Santa Organization at 740-439-0934.
Age Range: Children must be between 2 and 12 years old.
Previous Assistance: Children who are currently being assisted by another organization or have participated in this program within the last 5 years are not eligible to participate.
Family Limit: No more than 3 children per family are eligible to participate.
Application Period: Applications will be accepted starting November 17, 2025, at 7:30 AM and ending on December 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
Application Required: A completed application must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. The application will appear below during the above mentioned dates and time.
Parental/Guardian Attendance: A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the event and remain on-site during all activities.
Behavior Expectations: Children are expected to follow all instructions from deputies and event volunteers. Respectful behavior is required at all times.
Safety Rules: Children must remain seated in the police cruiser during transportation and use seat belts as instructed.
Food and Drink: Breakfast will be provided at McDonald’s. Children with dietary restrictions should inform the event organizers in advance.
Shopping Rules: Deputies will supervise children during the Walmart shopping trip. Children are to shop for themselves only; sharing or swapping items is not allowed.
Gift Limitations: Gifts are funded by the Lodge and public donations. The number and value of gifts will be determined by event organizers.
Parent Notification: Parents of children accepted for the program will be contacted no later than December 8, 2025. Please do not contact the Lodge to inquire if a child was selected.
Media Release: Participation may include photographs or video taken during the event. By attending, parents/guardians consent to the use of these images for promotional purposes.
Event Changes: The Lodge reserves the right to modify or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, safety concerns, etc.).
